Ah, the summer...Time for holidays, travel and fun...Party time of the year...Riiiight. I'm stuck home (again), with big plans (again), and chronic case of laziness. So ok, it was HOT, and I had an excuse. I couldn't hold a pencil in hand without sweating like a pig. Trouble is, now that I can hold pencil, I'm not working on my storyboard (and I should). I'm actually drawing another castle. God. I'm SUCH a time waster.
Also, I'm thinking about characters in sitcoms. ANOTHER big waste of time. I need to get it out of my system. You know what the trouble is? I can't write. I'm a baaaaad writer. And I have all this situations in my head, and they are driving me crazy. My hookup for the past few months? Friday night lights. How did I get hooked up? Ask "Wolverine Origins". I went to see the movie for one set of deliciousness (quite hairy one), and ended up hooked on completely other set of deliciousness. Yeah, you know him, the guy with the cards. Yum. And the rest I blame on the internet.
Mind you, FNL happens to be a great series. Not at all stupid, or naive, as teenage series tend to be. It's actually quite serious. I suppose that explains the low (relatively speaking) rankings when it comes to number of people watching it. There are no forced happy endings, no fake dramas, no simple characters (with one or two exceptions), no superficial treatment of so called "domestic" situations. Good guys don't always win the day, poetic justice is something unknown, and in most cases, it's the bully who wins. Although, they overdid it a bit in the last season. That much about FNL for now.
I need to animate something. And I mean, NEED. I love doing it, it's like a drug to me. So, I'm off.
